Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 October 2026

In short

  • TurfWise is software. You use it to run your turf: bookings, billing and cash tracking. We are not the seller of your slots, and we never hold your customers' money.
  • You are responsible for your turf, your customers, your prices, your refunds and your taxes. You choose what customer data you collect and you must have the right to collect it.
  • Plans and message credits are paid in advance and are not refundable, except in the few cases listed in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
  • Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the problem, or the minimum amount stated in section 15, whichever is higher. There are exceptions the law does not allow us to limit.
  • Indian law applies. Courts in Bengaluru decide disputes after we have tried to settle them by talking.

1. Who we are and what these Terms cover

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and TurfWise of Benguluru ("TurfWise", "we", "us"). They cover your use of the TurfWise website, apps and software (the "Service"), including any booking page we host for your turf.

These Terms are for turf owners and their staff. If a customer is booking a slot on a turf's page, the Terms for Customers apply to that customer instead.

These Terms also include our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Data Processing Terms and Grievance Redressal page. If they conflict with these Terms, the Data Processing Terms win on how we handle your customers' personal data, and these Terms win on everything else.

You accept these Terms by creating an account, by ticking the box when we ask, or by using the Service. If you accept them for a business, you confirm you have the authority to bind that business.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract in India.

You must give correct information and keep it up to date. Do not create an account in someone else's name.

There are no invitations. The owner creates staff accounts directly. You are responsible for every staff account you create, for choosing who gets which role, and for removing access when someone leaves. Anything done through an account is treated as done by you.

Keep passwords and payment keys safe. Tell us at once by email if you think an account or key has been misused. We are not responsible for loss caused by credentials you shared or failed to protect.

Sign-in is by email and password. We do not offer Google sign-in.

3. What the Service is, and what it is not

TurfWise is software for sports turf businesses in India. It helps you create slots, take bookings at the counter and on your public booking page, record payments, keep track of cash held by your staff, record expenses, prepare invoices and credit notes, and send emails to your customers.

We are a software provider. We are not the seller of your slots and we are not a party to the booking between you and your customer. We are not a bank, a payment aggregator or a payment gateway. We do not hold, collect or pay out your customers' money. We do not give legal, tax or accounting advice.

Some features may be shown as beta or may change. We may add, change or remove features. See section 11.

4. Plans, message credit and fees

You pay for a plan for 3, 6 or 12 months before it starts. A plan does not renew by itself and we do not charge you again unless you choose to renew. Prices are on our pricing page. Prices are shown before GST. GST and any other tax that applies is added at the rate in force when you pay. We give you a tax invoice or receipt for each payment as the law requires.

Message credit pays for the emails the Service sends to your customers. A credit has no cash value, cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and can only be used for TurfWise services. If an email cannot be sent, the credit for it is returned.

Plan fees and message credits are non-refundable. This includes unused time, unused credit, a move to a smaller plan, and a change of mind. The only exceptions are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy: a duplicate or wrong charge, an unauthorised payment, and our failure to provide the Service you paid for. Beyond that we may refund at our discretion, or where the law requires it.

We may change prices and plans for future purchases. A plan you have already paid for is not affected.

If your plan ends, you may not be able to take new bookings until you renew. Your existing records stay available to you as described in section 9. [Owner to confirm exactly what is read-only after a plan ends.]

If you cannot pay a fee that is due, we may suspend the Service until it is paid. Fees paid through our payment partner are processed by that partner under its own terms.

5. Payments from your customers and your Razorpay account

If you switch on online payments, you connect your own Razorpay account to TurfWise by pasting your own Razorpay Key ID and Key Secret. Your customer's online payment goes straight to your Razorpay account and then to your bank under your agreement with Razorpay. TurfWise never holds that money and takes no share of it. Razorpay's fees and terms apply between you and Razorpay.

You must be the lawful holder of the Razorpay account, keep it in good standing, and follow Razorpay's rules. We are not responsible for Razorpay holding, delaying, reversing or refusing a payment, for chargebacks, or for fees Razorpay charges you.

We store your keys encrypted and use them only to create payment requests, check whether a customer has paid, and refund a customer when you or your team press Refund. We will never move your money anywhere else. See our Security page for how the keys are protected.

You can remove your keys in TurfWise at any time, and you can change them in your Razorpay dashboard, which stops our access at once. Removing or replacing keys cancels open payment requests and turns off online payment. If a payment was taken with an old key, you must refund it from your Razorpay dashboard. If we change our own security keys, we delete all stored keys and ask you to add new ones, and old keys can never be used again.

You get an email and an audit entry whenever payment keys are added, replaced or removed.

Test keys may be used for trying the Service. Money taken with test keys is not real money, and you must not use test keys for real bookings.

Payments to TurfWise for plans and credits go to TurfWise's own Razorpay account and are separate from your customers' payments.

6. Your customers and your responsibilities to them

The booking contract is between you and your customer. You decide your slots, prices, taxes, cancellation rules, refund rules and house rules. You must follow the law that applies to your business, including consumer protection law, the safety of your facility, and any licence or permission your turf needs.

You must show your customers your price, your cancellation and refund policy and your contact details before they pay. You are responsible for every refund, credit and cancellation fee you set. A cancellation fee must be fair, clearly told to the customer before they pay, and allowed by law.

You are the "data fiduciary" for the personal data of your customers that you collect through the Service. You decide what to collect and why. You must have a lawful reason for it, tell your customers what you do with it, and get consent where the law needs it. This includes the marketing tick-box. Do not send marketing to a customer who has not agreed. TurfWise acts as your data processor. The Data Processing Terms set this out.

You must answer your customers' questions, complaints and requests about their data. Your public page shows your contact details so customers know who to ask.

If you have staff, you are their employer or engager. We are not.

7. Taxes and GST

The Service prepares invoices, credit notes and export files from the details you enter, such as GSTIN, address, state, rate and prices. You are responsible for those details being correct, for deciding whether you must register for GST, and for filing returns and paying tax on time. We do not promise that any document meets every requirement of the law. Please have your accountant check your invoices and returns.

Once a bill is issued it is not edited. A change is recorded as a credit note or an extra invoice. Bills, credit notes, payments and refunds are kept for the period tax law requires, even after an account is closed or an erasure request is made.

You are responsible for your own taxes. Our fees are charged with the tax that applies to us. [Owner: TurfWise's provider is currently not GST-registered; update this section when that changes.]

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading;
  • try to reach another turf's data or any part of the Service you are not allowed to use;
  • probe, overload, scrape or attack the Service, or get around its limits or security (including the bot check on the booking page);
  • upload malware, or send spam or unwanted messages through the Service;
  • put unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene or hateful content on your public page, or content you do not have the right to use (including photos and logos);
  • collect personal data of children, or other sensitive data, through the Service;
  • resell or sub-license the Service, or copy or reverse-engineer it, except as the law allows;
  • use the Service to run a business that is unlawful or that Razorpay does not allow.

We may remove content or switch off a page that breaks these rules or the law.

9. Your data, export and deletion

You own your data, including your customers' details that you put into the Service. We do not claim ownership of it. You give us the right to host, copy, process and display it only as needed to provide, secure, support and improve the Service and to follow the law. We do not sell your data or your customers' data.

We may use data that has been made anonymous and combined (for example, counts of bookings across turfs) to run and improve the Service, as long as it cannot identify you or your customers.

While your account is active you can use the export and report tools in the app, including GST files, to take your records. After your account ends we will keep your data for [30] days so you can ask for a copy, and then delete or anonymise it, except records we must keep by law (see our Privacy Policy). [Owner and lawyer to set the period. Today the app does not have a one-click export of everything; we will give a copy on written request.]

Our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Terms say how we handle personal data.

10. Availability and support

We work to keep the Service running but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available. There can be planned maintenance, outages of our providers (such as our hosting, email or Razorpay), internet problems and events outside our control.

Do not depend on the Service as your only record of anything important. Keep your own back-ups of what matters to you, for example by using the export tools.

Support is by email at support@turfwise.in. We do not promise a response time. [Owner: no service level or uptime figure is promised here on purpose.]

11. Changes to the Service

We may change, add or remove features, and may stop a feature if it is no longer practical or lawful. If we make a change that removes something you paid for, we will tell you in advance by email or in the app where we reasonably can, and the exceptions in the Refund & Cancellation Policy apply if we cannot provide the Service you paid for.

The messages and screens of the app are available in several Indian languages. If a translation differs from the English text of these Terms, the English text applies.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by writing to support@turfwise.in. Plans and credits are not refunded when you close the account (see section 4).

We may suspend or end your access immediately, with or without notice, if: you break these Terms or the law; we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or a security risk; you do not pay a fee when due; a court, regulator or Razorpay requires it; or continuing would harm us, other turfs or customers. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you the reason and give you a chance to fix the problem first.

We may end the Service for you on [30] days' notice for any other reason. If we do this and you have an unused paid plan, we will refund the unused part of the plan fee. [Lawyer: confirm this carve-out from the no-refund rule.]

When an account ends, your access stops. Section 9 explains your data. Anything you owe us stays owing.

Sections that by their nature should continue will continue after the Terms end. This includes sections 4 (fees owing), 6, 7, 9, 13 to 17, 19 and 20.

13. Our rights in the Service

We and our licensors own the Service, its software, design, names and logos. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your turf business while these Terms are in force. You get no other right.

You keep the rights in the content you upload (such as photos, logos and descriptions). You give us the right to host and display it as needed to run your public page and the Service.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without paying you.

You must not use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse your turf, except as the Service itself shows them.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no promise that the Service will meet your needs, be secure at all times, or be free of errors, and we exclude all promises that the law lets us exclude, including promises of fitness for a purpose and non-infringement.

We do not check your turf, your facility, your safety standards, your customers, or what you publish. We are not responsible for anything that happens at your turf, for injury or loss to your customers or staff there, or for disputes between you and your customers or staff.

We are not responsible for the actions or systems of third parties, such as Razorpay, banks, email providers, hosting providers and your customers' own devices.

Tax and accounting outputs are tools, not advice (see section 7).

15. Limit on our liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for: fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; wilful misconduct; death or personal injury caused by negligence; or anything else the law does not allow to be limited or excluded.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, loss of bookings, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, or loss or corruption of data, even if we were told it might happen.

Subject to the first paragraph, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or connected to the Service or these Terms is limited to the fees you actually paid to TurfWise in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim, or [MINIMUM FLOOR AMOUNT IN RUPEES - LAWYER TO SET], whichever is higher.

The cap in this section is a single cap for all claims taken together, not a separate cap for each claim. It applies whatever the legal basis of the claim (contract, negligence or anything else). You and we agree that this is a fair share of risk given the price of the Service.

A claim must be brought within [one year] of when you first knew of it. [Lawyer: confirm a contractual limit is enforceable alongside the Limitation Act.]

16. Indemnity

You will compensate and defend us, our owners and our staff against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party, or arising from your breach of these Terms or the law, in connection with: your turf, your facility and your services; how you use customer data; your pricing, cancellation and refund decisions; your content; your Razorpay account; or your staff's actions.

We will tell you promptly about a claim and let you control the defence, but we may take part with our own lawyers at our own cost. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault on our behalf without our written consent.

17. Content on your public page, and our role as an intermediary

Your public booking page shows content you provide. We host it for you. In respect of that content we act as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules under it. We do not choose or change it before it goes live.

If we receive a complaint about unlawful content on a page, or an order from a court or authority, we may remove or block it, or switch the page off, and we may tell the owner. Complaints can be sent to our Grievance Officer. See the Grievance Redressal page.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

If there is a dispute, one of us must first send the other a written notice describing it. We will then try in good faith to settle it by talking for 30 days.

If it is not settled, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, have exclusive jurisdiction. [Lawyer: consider arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 instead, and whether the Bengaluru courts clause suits an unregistered individual provider.]

Either of us may go to court at any time for urgent relief to protect rights.

19. Notices

We may send you notices by email to the address on your account, or in the app. A notice by email is treated as received on the day it is sent. You must keep your email address current.

You may send us notices at support@turfwise.in. For complaints, use the Grievance Officer at [Grievance Officer email].

20. Changes to these Terms, and general terms

We may change these Terms. For a change that is material and bad for you, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app before it starts. Other changes start when we post them. If you do not agree to a change, you can close your account before it starts. If you keep using the Service after the change starts, you accept the change. Bookings and plans already paid for continue on the Terms that applied when you bought them, unless the law requires otherwise.

These Terms, with the documents listed in section 1, are the whole agreement between you and us on the Service and replace anything earlier.

If a part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in force, and the part will be read in the closest way that makes it valid.

If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not give it up.

You cannot transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else without our written consent. We may transfer ours to a successor to our business, and will tell you.

Neither side is liable for delay or failure caused by events outside its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, power or internet failures, strikes, government action or failure of third-party services. This does not excuse a duty to pay.

These Terms are an electronic record and are valid without signatures. Your acceptance online counts as your agreement.

There are no third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.
